LeSean McCoy will "do some things" at practice Friday

January 5, 2018

It sounds like LeSean McCoy will get in a little more work today at Bills’ practice than he has this week, as he and the team try to determine if he will be healthy enough to play Sunday in their AFC wildcard matchup at the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“We will see him do some things today, then we’ll go from there,” head coach Sean McDermott told reporters at his final press conference of the week.  "One movement at a time right now.  We’ll just see how he does through the individual part of practice and then go from there.”

McCoy injured his ankle last Sunday in the team’s regular season finale at the Miami Dolphins.  He left the field on a cart and was taken to the locker room.  X-Rays were negative, but McCoy did not return to the game and has not practiced at all this week.

Shady spoke with reporters at his locker Thursday afternoon, saying “I feel ok. Each day just trying to get better. It's a big game, man, so I'm trying to get out there….It's been feeling a lot better. I'm out of the boot. I can walk around without any pain, so that's a plus.

“I just want to be able to cut well enough where I don't have a lot of pain when I'm cutting. I just want to be close, or the best, as far as 100-percent as I can get. But the type of game like this, man, you've got to lay it all on the line….If I can't get 100-percent, as long as I'm out there and I can run effective enough, I'll do it. So we'll just see.”

UPDATE: Here is some video of McCoy at practice during the short stretching portion the media was allowed to watch:
