Sabres bring back Fedun

October 31, 2017

Just a few days after being sent back down to the American Hockey League, defenseman Taylor Fedun has been recalled by the Buffalo Sabres.

With the rash of injuries on the Buffalo blue line, Fedun rejoins the team after playing in two games over the past 10 days. In those two games, Fedun picked up an assist and put up two shots on goal. Fedun was officially assigned to Rochester shortly after Saturday's game against the San Jose Sharks.

The Sabres assigned defenseman Zach Redmond back to the Rochester Americans on Monday after spending a week in Buffalo. In his two games played, Redmond went pointless with six shots on goal and a minus-1.

One player who the Sabres hope to have available this Thursday against the Arizona Coyotes is defenseman Justin Falk. Falk returned to practice with his teammates last week after sitting out from a lower-body injury suffered during the preseason.

The Sabres will return to practice on Tuesday at HarborCenter as they get ready to face the Coyotes on Thursday from Glendale, Arizona.
