Sabres call up Fedun from Rochester

October 20, 2017

With injuries starting to pile up for the Buffalo Sabres, the team has turned to Rochester once again for help.

The Sabres announced early Friday morning that they have called up defenseman Taylor Fedun from the Amerks. It is the first call up of the season for the 29-year old blue liner.

Fedun played in a career-high 27 games last season with the Sabres, registering seven assists along the way. Last season in Rochester, Fedun scored five goals and put up 23 points in 29 games.

In just three games this season in Rochester, Fedun has registered one assist and is a minus-4.

To make room for Fedun on the roster, the Sabres have placed forward Jacob Josefson on injured reserve. Josefson suffered a lower-body injury on Sunday against the Anaheim Ducks, and was seen in a walking boot following the game.

The Sabres and Canucks will drop the puck on Friday night at 7 p.m. Stay tuned for more with Paul Hamilton from the Sabres' morning skate later Friday morning.
