PINK FLOYD continues it's ambitious re-release program of all of their albums on vinyl with the announcement that 2 more (1980's-era) Floyd albums are set for release on November 17th. The release of the 'Greatest Hits' package, 'A Collection of Great Dance Songs,' and the 'live' 'Delicate Sound of Thunder' will mark the first time in 20 years that the two albums have been available on vinyl. When it was first released in 1981, 'A Collection...' contained some of the band's 70's era classics as well as a few Floyd songs with different mixes. 1988's 'Live' set, 'Delicate Sound of Thunder,' is a stunning performance from The Floyd's tour in support of the then new album, 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason,' recorded over 5 nights at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, N.Y. Interesting Factoid: 'Delicate Sound of Thunder' bears the distinction of being the very FIRST album to be played in Space! It was taken aboard a Soyuz mission to the Mir Space Station by Soviet Cosmonauts. The 2 upcoming releases join the rest of PINK FLOYD's remastered catalog.
