Here's the rundown on some of the notable album releases coming out in the month of May:

First & foremost, is the 50th Anniversary Edition of THE BEATLES "Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," being made available in a number of different configuration. The "updated" "Pepper" album has added the songs, "Penny Lane," and "Strawberry Fields Forever," the 2 songs that were released 4 months before the "Sgt. Pepper" album, and ushered in the sound that The Beatles would build and expand on in their recording of the historic album... There's also a NEW album coming from Little Steven (Van Zant)...his album, "Soulfire," is the first album of new songs in almost 20 years from the E Street Band Guitarist. There are some very cool "live' releases to look for, including The ROLLING STONES "Olé Olé Olé! A Trip Across Latin America," a live chronicle and documentary of the band's first ever trip to Havana, Cuba. GRATEFUL DEAD fans are no doubt ecstatic about the release of "Cornell, 1977," considered by many a Dead Head as one of the greatest performances EVER by the band, recorded at Cornell University during the Dead's incredible run of shows in May of 1977. That show is available as a single show, or as part of a special, 4-show box set that also features a show before Ithaca, and 2 following the Ithaca stop, including the very next night in Buffalo, N.Y. (BTW, the box set, "Get Shown The Light" sold out in pre-order) Speaking of the GRATEFUL DEAD, the soundtrack to the eagerly anticipated Dead Documentary, "Long, Strange Trip" is scheduled for a May 26th release. There are also plenty of 're-issues' to look for, including 4 of BOB DYLAN's earliest albums, BAD COMPANY's "Run w/The Pack," & "Burnin' Sky,"  IRON MAIDEN (4 albums), & JETHRO TULL's, "Songs From The Wood." (40th Anniversary)  Rock On!
