ZZ TOP, who will observe their 50th Anniversary this year, have just announced a trio of 'Texas Bash' shows (Dallas, Houston, & Austin) that will take place in mid-May, followed by a 5 week trek that will take the heritage rockers through Scandanavia and Europe. (see itinerary below) They'll be accompanied on tour by fellow Classic Rockers, Bad Company and Cheap Trick. More European dates are expected to be announced as well as ZZ dates in the States. Guitarist Billy Gibbons expressed his excitement for the upcoming shows overseas with the remark that “It’s been 50 years, and I think we’re starting to get pretty good! We’re just as excited to play Barcelona this summer as we were to play Beaumont (Tex.) back in ’69. The beards are, perhaps, a bit longer, but nothing much else has changed and we hope to keep it that way.”  Rock ON, ZZ Top!!
