STEVE PERRY, who recently made his triumphant and eagerly-awaited re-entry to the Music world, has declared that moving forward, he will focus on his solo career and he has ruled out any kind of reunion with JOURNEY. In a recent radio interview in New York City, the singer shared his desire to record more of his songs and possibly undertake a tour in support of his soon-to-be-released album, 'Traces.' The new album, Perry's first in 25 years, will be released October 5th. In addressing the question of whether he would rejoin Journey, Perry praised current Journey singer, Arnel Pineda, noting his now 10-year tenure with Journey, and said, “No. I think that we've gone on our separate ways and we’re doing great. But yeah, I don't think that's where I'm at right now. It took forever for me to find the passion for music again because I felt it was kind of damaged. I thought I would never feel that love again for music, so I had to walk. Now that I've found that again, I have so many other songs ready to be recorded.” (listen to the full interview below) In anticipation of a return to touring, Perry mentions that he's first reaquainting himself with fans and people at radio stations, where he can give background and perspective to the songs as well as where he has been personally in the last 2 decades out of the limelight. Rock On, Steve Perry!
