LYNYRD SKYNYRD has announced that their 'Last of the Street Survivor's Farewell Tour' will return to the United Kingdom one last time for a handful of dates starting in late June, 2019. Many of Skynyrd's fans 'across the pond' have fond memories of the then unknown band of American long hairs who captivated and thrilled them as the opener for The Rolling Stones at the Knebworth Festival in the Summer of 1976. Looking back at the legacy that Skynyrd has created not only in the U.S., but internationally as well, guitarist Gary Rossington remarked “It’s hard to imagine, after all these years, the band that Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins and myself started back in Jacksonville, would resonate for this long and to so many generations of fans. I’m certain they are looking down from above, amazed that the music has touched so many.” The North American leg Skynyrd's Farewell Tour continues into early 2019, including a post-New Year's week-long 'Southern Rock Cruise,' sharing the bill with many of the finest players of the Southern Rock genre. Rock ON (and Cheers!) Lynyrd Skynyrd!
