This past year was the 40th anniversary of legendary rock powerhouse, FOREIGNER, and the heritage hitmakers were out on the road bringing it to their fans for a good part of the past year, including a handful of 'Reunion' shows that featured LOU GRAMM and other past members of Foreigner. There's a very real possibility that the band will continue their anniversary observance in 2019, including even more of those reunion shows, but before that happens, get ready for 'Jukebox Hero-The Musical! Tickets are currently on sale before the Thanksgiving holiday for 6 shows that will take place in the final week of February at Toronto's Mirvish Theater. You can purchase tickets HERE. There are 16 of Foreigner's Top 30 songs recorded through the band's career included in the performance, and is being presented by Calgary-based Annerin Theatricals. The impetus for the musical came after a chance meeting by MICK JONES with singer DIANA ROSS when the 2 met up in airport lounge some 30+ years ago, and Ms. Ross made the suggestion that Foreigner's music belonged in a stage production, and now it finally has, with some of Foreigner's most iconic hit songs that include (besides the show's namesake) "Cold As Ice", "Hot Blooded", "Waiting For A Girl Like You", "Dirty White Boy" and "I Want To Know What Love Is". The stage show has already been seen by some Canadians through a series of 'workshop' productions staged in both Edmonton and Calgary, receiving enthusiastic, positive reviews. Rock ON, Foreigner!
