JOHN MELLENCAMP has announced a November 16th release date for his next studio album, 'Other People's Stuff,' and the midwestern singer/poet/activist has also revelaled concert dates to support the new recording. Currently on the road until just before the release of the new album, Mellencamp will resume touring with 'The John Mellencamp Show' in early February, 2019. (see itinerary below) Long known for his sometimes contentious and grumpy persona, Mellencamp told Variety last year that he long ago willingly removed himself from what he called the "beer and circus tour," opting instead to "play for people who want to hear music. I don’t like to see guys get in fights, I’m not a jukebox, I don’t play all my hits. I got off that a long time ago.”  Ever the artist, and always true to his craft, Mr. Mellencamp also pointed out that he doesn't "get paid for being onstage, I get paid for leaving home, traveling on airplanes and staying in hotels. The part of being onstage, I’ll do that for free," he said. "I’m pretty much an isolationist and my routine is always the same. I very rarely see anybody except when I walk onstage. It’s not like I hang out with anybody. … I don’t even stay in the same hotel as the band.” Props to, and Rock ON, John Mellencamp!
