Aerosmith Guitarist JOE PERRY's new solo album, 'Sweetzerland Manifesto' will be released January 19th, and the veteran Axe Man has already previewed what fans can expect should Mr. Perry decide to launch a solo tour while Aerosmith is on hiatus. The new album features collaborations with (among others) Cheap Trick singer ROBIN ZANDER and drummer ZAK STARKEY, and since there are no plans for Joe's other band to be on the road until late this year, there's a very good chance he will perform a small, solo tour of his own. 'Joe Perry & Friends' just played at the big, Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and he was joined by Robin Zander as well as Gary Cherrone (Extreme), and brothers Dean & Robert DeLeo (Stone Temple Pilots) for a 17-song set that hit on Joe's (new) solo stuff, a few cover songs, and a few Aerosmith classics too. That same line up of musicians will also play with Joe Perry in Los Angeles on January 16th for his 'pre-release' performance. As previously revealed in an interview with Best Classic Bands, AEROSMITH is expected to once again hit the concert trail later this year (including a 'Residency' in Las Vegas) that, in all likelihood, will continue on up to and through the heritage rock band's 50th Anniversary in 2020. Additionally, Mr. Perry has partnered with Monster to release a new "Monster Blaster Classic Rock Edition" Boombox, available this Summer. In the press release for the new boombox, Joe Perry claims that the new boombox will "deliver the sound of classic rock the way it was intended," and "The Monster Blaster is the last boom box you will ever need. "It's an instant party that will Rock Your World!" Rock On!
