It’s GOOD to be GUNS N’ ROSES these days… :D Sold-Out shows throughout their current “Not In This Lifetime” Tour, Many (deserved) accolades and tributes on the 30th Anniversary of their debut album, “Appetite For Destruction,” and just recently, being given their very own satellite channel for GN’R music!  The latter development was celebrated over this past weekend when the Gang of Gunners appeared at the legendary, famous Apollo Theater in Harlem to play for an “intimate,” invitation-only crowd of 3000 in observance of the new satellite channel! While it is the 30th Anniversary of the release of “Appetite…,” no mention of the album’s milestone was mentioned by the band although they did perform 8 of the 12 songs found on what has now become the best-selling debut album of all time. In addition to those selections, GN’R’s Apollo performance pretty much reflected the same set list that they’ve been playing on the “Not In This Lifetime Tour,” including ‘covers’ of songs by PINK FLOYD (Wish You Were Here), WINGS (Live & Let Die), THE WHO (The Seeker), and SOUNDGARDEN (Black Hole Sun). GUNS N’ ROSES will resume their tour this weekend (July 27th) and they have also recently added almost a dozen more shows , including a few dates at Madison Square Garden in NYC… Rock On!
