CHRIS ROBINSON (Formerly of Black Crowes) Has Got Some 'Gripes.'

Focuses his anger at his brother among others...

The concept of "Battling Brothers" in a Rock & Roll band is nothing new--some of the more famous and notable 'sibling spats' have taken place between brothers Ray & Dave Davies of THE KINKS, and Noel & Liam Gallagher of OASIS, with those brothers actually getting into physical altercations...Another well-known pair of brothers that are also no strangers to animosity with each other are Chris & Rich Robinson of THE BLACK CROWES...their inability to practice and share 'brotherly love' has been well-documented and is the reason why the Black Crowes are no more. And while the Robinson Brothers have not (yet) taken to 'fisticuffs' with each other, make no mistake, there is no love lost between the two. In a recent radio interview in support of the new album from Chris Robinson's Brotherhood, "Barefoot In The Head,"  the singer aired his grievances with his brother when asked about the state of The Black Crowes...Robinson said, “Let’s get this straight: I don’t like my brother, I don’t get along with him, I don’t want to be in a room with him and I don’t want to play music with those people in that band.” Okay then! This will certainly not 'bode well' in the (very possible) event of The Black Crowes being inducted to The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which is another target of Chris Robinson's disdain. Of The Rock Hall, Robinson stated that it's “like going to the mall.” Robinson also has harsh words for Guitarist/Singer, JOHN MAYER, as he (Robinson) is not a fan of Mayer's work with the former Grateful Dead players who now perform under the moniker of 'Dead and Company'...  Hmm. Seems to ME that for a guy who smokes as much weed as Robinson does, he might be a bit more "mellow," but...  Rock On!
