With the death of TOM PETTY, and the recent, emergency surgery required by AEROSMITH's STEVEN TYLER, the news that BOB SEGER was forced to cancel the remaining dates of his 2017 Runaway Train Tour is enought to cause major concern for his fans...Fortunately, Mr. Seger's issue is related to a 'pinched vertabrae' in his neck, and there are plans to re-schedule the shows in the affected tour stops. (Personally, I'm not surprised given the boundless energy Seger exhibits during the performances on this tour, and his age of 72 years...) The 'official' reason announced for the abrupt halt in the tour "for an undisclosed amount of time is due to an “urgent medical issue concerning his vertebrae.”
In announcing the cancellations on his website, SEGER said, “I’m so disappointed to have to suspend the tour as the band is on a great roll. It’s a privilege to play for our amazing fans. Hoping to be back out on the road very soon.” In other BOB SEGER news, the singer plans on releasing a new album in November titled, 'I Knew You When.' The list of cities/postponed performances is below.
