The upcoming music releases for September will be heavy on archival 'live' releases and reissues, with The BEATLES 'Abbey Road' Deluxe 50th Anniversary Edition leading the way. The 'Abbey Road' set boasts a new remix of the album's original 17 tracks, along with 23 additional recordings and demos, most of which are previously unreleased. There will be a 2-CD version, and a 'Deluxe' version with 3 CDs and a DVD. The 'Abbey Road' disc will be released at the end of the month, and will be preceded by a handful of other notable 'live' releases...Probably the most eagerly anticipated recording will be the 4-CD set of The ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND at the Fillmore West in San Francisco from late January of 1971. These shows took place a mere 6 weeks before The Brothers rolled in to the Fillmore East in NYC to record their legendary and historic, 'Live At Fillmore East.'  Featuring 3 complete sets from that weekend, 'Fillmore West '71' will be available on September 6th. When SLASH wasn't playing with G N' R, he was busy with his other band, Slash f/ Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, and their new live collection, 'Living The Dream Tour' (due 9/20) is culled from a series of sold-out shows at London's Hammersmith Apollo Theater. The 40th anniversary of 'It's Alive,' the first live album from The RAMONES will be acknowledged with the (9/20) release of a six-disc box that includes three unreleased concert recordings from the same tour. And the never-ending string of live shows from the Good Ol' GRATEFUL DEAD continues with the upcoming 'Saint of Circumstance: Giants Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ 6/17/91,' a 2 CD set from the show that was also recently the feature for the 9th Annual GD Meet Up At The Movies.' Two more excellent reissues are on the way from STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and THE CULT...STP's 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of the uber-succesful sophomore album, 'Purple' is loaded with bonus material, including a complete (previously unreleased) 1994 concert. The 4th album from THE CULT, 'Sonic Temple' turns 30 and will be feted with a 5-CD box set. There's one vinyl reissue set that will be of interest to BLACK SABBATH fans: 'The Vinyl Collection 1970-78' is out September 6th, focusing on the first era of Sabbath w/ OZZY OSBOURNE. The 9-LP box set features the band’s first eight albums plus a collection of singles in mono format on a ninth disc. Some of the mono singles are being released for the first time! Lastly, expect new music from Rock & Roll veterans, ROBBIE ROBERTSON  and The Pretenders' CHRYSSIE HYNDE  (w/ the Bone Woe Ensemble) whose new album, 'Valve Bone Woe' will have Ms. Hynde covering 'jazz influenced cover songs.' Rock ON, everybody, & enjoy some new music releases!
