The JOAN JETT documentary, 'Bad Reputation,' had it's premiere earlier this year (January) at the Sundance Film Festival, where it was selected from a field of over 13,000 entries.(!) Described by the Sundance Film website at the time as "a look at the life of Joan Jett, from her early years as the founder of The Runaways and first meeting collaborator Kenny Laguna in 1980 to her enduring presence in pop culture as a rock ‘n’ roll pioneer,"  the Rock Doc will finally make it to theaters, streaming services, and video on demand at the end of September. Chronicling the Rock Grrrrl's 40+ year career, from her start as a member of the all-female band, The Runaways (which also included guitarist/singer Lita Ford), and throughout her successful solo career, it also presents the depth of her fame and success in addition to her famous version of 'I Love Rock & Roll.' (READ the full 'plot' summary HERE) Besides the many performance clips of Ms. Jett, there are interviews and cameos with many well-known rockers, among them Billie Joe Armstrong, Debbie Harry, Iggy Pop, Miley Cyrus, Pete Townshend and many others. Screenings will take place in theaters nationwide prior to the film’s general release. Rock On, Joan Jett!
