Paul McCartney Won't Release The Third Song

February 6, 2017

Paul McCartney has never been one to be swayed by being brow-beaten or petitioned to do anything he didn't want to, with regards to his music & career. Nor were The Beatles for that matter. That being said, there's a petition out there trying to persuade McCartney to release the unfinished third Beatles reunion song. You might recall that between February 1994 and March 1995, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, along with Jeff Lynne of ELO (producing), spent four recording sessions trying to spice up and finish John Lennon's demo of "Now And Then" (along with the eventually released reunion songs "Free As A Bird," and "Real Love"). The remaining Beatles abandoned the song in the end, mostly because of a persistent buzz found on the demo tape that couldn't be erased.

The petition "Paul McCartney: Release Beatles Reunion Song, Please" can be seen, HERE
