Actress Mary Tyler Moore Dead At 80

Actress and '70s TV icon Mary Tyler Moore has died in a Connecticut hospital at the age of 80, according to her longtime publicist Mara Buxbaum. In a statement, she said, "Today, beloved icon, Mary Tyler Moore, passed away at the age of 80 in the company of friends and her loving husband of over 33 years, Dr. S. Robert Levine."

Famous for her starring roles on "The Dick Van Dyke Show" from 1961 to 1966 and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" from 1970 to 1977, Moore recently battled diabetes and underwent brain surgery in 2011. A seven-time Emmy Award winner, Moore was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1986.
