Wood likes the way the AFC standings are looking

October 16, 2017

It was a bye week this past Sunday for the Buffalo Bills, but it's not a bye week for Buffalo Football Monday. Eric Wood made his regular Monday appearance, with the Bills at 3-2, and looking ahead to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. Wood could be seeing a familiar face on the other side, with Jameis Winston dealing with a shoulder injury, Ryan Fitzpatrick could get the start for Tampa.

Here's some of the best from Wood's visit with the guys:

On Miami beating Atlanta:
"I cannot believe the Falcons blew that lead to the Dolphins. I was rooting for Atlanta, obviously."

On the hit that knocked Aaron Rodgers out for the year:
"I'm sure I would've been upset with it if it were my quarterback. Trust me, Tyrod takes some late shots himself. There was one against the Bengals."

On how the standings are looking for the Bills:
From a standings aspect, its good to see some teams that are usually in the playoffs not playing so hot, but we haven't talked a whole lot about it in the locker room."

Regarding the Bills community outreach, and Lorenzo Alexander's statement:
"Can't imagine a group that works as hard as our community relations. They're a big driving force behind me getting back to back Man of the Year nominations. Lorenzo, is an unbelievable person. Great dad, great friend, one of my neighbors. Still out there covering kicks, and starting on defense."
