White was the Bills' first round selection (27th overall) in the 2017 NFL Draft out of LSU. The 22-year old has also registered 16 tackles after taking over as the starting cornerback at the start of the season, replacing Stephon Gilmore who left in free agency for the New England Patriots.

White is just the third Bills rookie cornerback to be honored as Defensive Rookie of the Month. Leodis McKelvin was the first to be honored in November of 2008, and Ronald Darby was given the honor in September of 2015.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt was named as the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month. Hunt leads the NFL in rushing through the first three games of the season with 401 yards on 47 carries.
