Singletary misses practice, still considered day-to-day

September 18, 2019

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced on Wednesday that rookie running back Devin Singletary will not practice as he still recovers from a hamstring injury that forced him to leave last Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. However, McDermott termed the rookie day-to-day, adding, “we’ll get a better feel as we go through the week.”

When asked if the team needs to consider adding a back to the roster, McDermott said “we feel good about where we are right now.”

Also, tight end Tyler Kroft continues to progress. He will be a full participant in practice for the first time since breaking his foot on the first day of OTAs. Kroft could very well make his Bills debut against his former team when the Bills host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at New Era Field.

Wide receiver/returner Andre Roberts will be limited, which also indicates progress for him. Roberts had not practiced at all over the past two weeks, dealing with a quad injury.

Cornerback Taron Johnson is still not practicing while he nurses a hamstring injury.

The Bills opened the season with two wins on the road for the first time in franchise history, and will look to go 3-0 for the first time since 2011.

Here's video of Kroft, Roberts, Singletary, and Johnson at practice.

Andre Roberts is listed as limited, but he is not wearing a red jersey, and he is returning punts in the special-teams portion of practice. Here’s video:

Here’s some video of Devin Singletary walking towards the field house, no wrap on his leg. He went into the training center.
