Sabres' prospect Hurley leaves Notre Dame

(WGR 550) - The University of Minnesota has announced that Sabres 2013 second round pick Connor Hurley has transferred from Notre Dame.

Hurley has one more season of eligibility left, but according to NCAA rules, has to sit-out this season.

Hurley’s season ended for personal reasons last year. In just 21 games he had four goals and 12 assists for 16 points.

In three seasons with the Irish, Hurley scored 14 goals and 34 assists for 48 points in 98 games.
