The Sabres have more injuries on defense

Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - The Sabres have called up two players from Rochester. Casey Nelson and Kyle Criscuolo are up.

Defenseman Taylor Fedun only played one quick shift in the beginning of the third period in Pittsburgh. He’s been placed on injured reserve along with Matt Tennyson.

Criscuolo is 25-years-old and has never played a NHL game. This season with Rochester he has five goals and six assists for 11 points in 14 games. That’s tied with C.J. Smith for the team scoring lead.

Nelson has a goal and three assists. He was a college free agent signing at the end of the 2016 season. Nelson has 18 NHL games picking up four assists.

Buffalo plays in Detroit on Friday before returning home on Saturday night.
