The Sabres finally get back to games

The Sabres haven’t played a game since Sunday, so let’s take a look back.
Buffalo has won four of six games and five out of eight.
The penalty kill is no longer last in the NHL as in the past five games, the Sabres have killed off 13-of-14 penalties.
Evander Kane has goals in three straight games and has seven goals in seven games.
Jack Eichel has assists in four straight games and has 10 points in eight games.
Kyle Okposo has eight points in his last 10 games.
Sam Reinhart will return after missing two games with the flu. He has seven points in eight games.
Justin Falk has assists in four of his last seven games.
Rasmus Ristolainen has assists in five straight games.
Ryan O’Reilly has nine points in his last 11 games.
Robin Lehner is back in goal for his eighth consecutive game.
Zemgus Girgensons will be back centering Marcus Foligno and Brian Gionta. He missed seven games with a mid-body injury.
Colorado has a five game winning streak at home against Buffalo dating back to December 4, 2005. The Avalanche had won 10 straight against the Sabres until Buffalo won the last two.
Colorado has just one win in nine games and they haven’t scored more than two goals in any of them.
Former Sabre Nikita Zadorov hurt himself in practice and is out for the season. Colorado could get Erik Johnson back tonight. Johnson has missed 36 games with what the team claims is a leg injury.
Matt Duchene has one goal in his last 16 games. Gabriel Landeskog has two goals in those same 16 games.
