Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - For the first time in team history, the Buffalo Sabres have two of the NHL’s Three Stars of the week.

Jack Eichel is the league’s second star. Eichel led the NHL with two goals and three assists for five points in the three wins out west. Eichel scored the overtime game-winner in Calgary on Tuesday night.

Eichel added a goal and two assists in the NHL All-Star Game on Sunday, giving him three goals and five assists for eight points in four games.

Eichel is 19th in league scoring with 49 points in 49 games.

Lehner didn’t allow a goal in his two wins at Edmonton and Vancouver. The Sabres netminder stopped all 63 shots he faced.

The number one star for the week is the NHL All-Star Game’s MVP, Brock Boeser of Vancouver. Boeser scored two goals on Sunday and won the Accuracy Shooting contest during the skills competition on Saturday.

Boeser netted two goals in the Canucks' win over Los Angeles, but was held off the board by Lehner on Thursday. Boeser leads all rookies with 24 goals in 46 games.
