The Sabres bring up a forward

December 2, 2017

Pittsburgh, PA (WGR 550) - After Friday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Phil Housley indicated there would be changes. There’s not much you can do when you’re in the middle of the season, so Hudson Fasching has been called up from the Rochester Americans.

Very few of the Sabres forwards want to get near the net, so Housley and general manager Jason Botterill are hoping that Fasching will use his size to get to the net.

Fasching made the team out of training camp last year, but suffered a serious groin injury that put him out around two months.

In 17 NHL games, Fasching has a goal and two assists. This season in Rochester, he has scored six goals and three assists for nine points in 21 games.
