Sabres' announce their roster for the Prospects Challenge

Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - The Sabres have announced their roster for the Prospects Challenge in HarborCenter this weekend.

The top overall pick in last June’s draft, Rasmus Dahlin will be on the defense along with free agent signee Lawrence Pilut and 2015 second round pick Brendan Guhle.

The other defensemen are college free agent signee Brandon Hickey, 2015 fourth round pick Will Borgen, 2015 fifth round pick Devante Stephens, 2017 third round pick Oskari Laaksonen, invitee Nicholas Welsh from Moncton in the Quebec League and Rochester signees Tobie Bisson and Arvin Atwall.

In goal is 2017 second round pick Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and 2014 third round pick Jonas Johansson.

The forwards are led by 2016 first round pick Casey Mittelstadt and the Blues 2016 first round pick Tage Thompson.

Joining them are 2016 first round pick Alex Nylander, 2016 second round pick Rasmus Asplund, college free agent signee Andrew Oglevie, 2014 second round pick Eric Cornel, 2016 seventh round pick Vasili Glotov, 2018 fourth round pick Matej Pekar, 2014 seventh round pick Victor Olofsson, Rochester signees Judd Peterson and Myles Powell, invitees Kevin Hancock from Owen Sound, Shane Eiserman who was drafted in the fourth round of the 2014 draft by Ottawa, Cole Coskey from Saginaw and Pascal Aquin from the Quebec League.

The Sabres play New Jersey on Friday at 7:00, Boston on Saturday at 7:00 and Pittsburgh on Monday at 12:30. Tickets are $10.
