January 12, 2018

The Buffalo Bills have announced that offensive coordinator Rick Dennison has been relieved of his duties. Dennison spent just one year at the position with the Bills. The Bills offense finished 29th in the NFL in total offense this season, and capped it off with just 3 points in the playoffs against Jacksonville. They were also 2nd last in the league in passing.

Dennison and the Bills offense took a step back from from 2016. With Greg Roman and Anthony Lynn, the Bills finished 9th in the NFL in points per game in 2016. This year they finished 22nd.

The Bills will now be on the hunt for an offensive coordinator. Norv Turner was most recently hired by the Carolina Panthers. Mike McCoy is available, who reportedly was one of the Bills top candidates this past offseason before he latched on with the Broncos.
