Former University at Buffalo standout, and Raiders All-Pro linebacker Khalil Mack is still in the midst of a holdout, seeking a new contract. The longer Mack holds out, the more time there is for talk of a potential trade.

Earlier this week, Manish Mehta of The Daily News reported that the New York Jets were one of, at least, a dozen teams that have shown interest in Mack. Jason La Canfora from CBS Sports says the Buffalo Bills are among those teams also interested in the fifth-year linebacker.

"The Buffalo Bills, the moment the Raiders were to say, 'Hey who's interested in Khalil Mack?', they'd be all over that, and they've done their due diligence."

La Canfora added that the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, and Chicago Bears are teams he continues to hear are tied to Khalil Mack, along with the Bills and Jets. Eric Galko from Optimum Scouting reports that the New York Giants are also one of several teams interested in acquiring the star pass rusher.

Updated odds on where Mack will end up lists the Bills at plus-1000, the fifth most likely landing spot. The Packers were listed as the favorites, followed by the Raiders, Bears, Jets, and then the Bills.

Mack is seeking upwards of $20 million per-year on his next contract. He'll be an unrestricted free agent after this year, assuming he's not franchise tagged, which is not likely at this point. Since Mack entered the league in 2014, he's sixth in the NFL in sacks with 40.5.

If the Raiders are to begin serious considering a trade, and the Bills are interested, they'll have a lot of competition. It's rare that a player of Mack's caliber ever becomes available.
