The 2020 regular season will open on Sunday, Sept. 13 with the Bills set to host the New York Jets at New Era Field.

It will be the third time in four years where the Bills and Jets meet up in the season opening game of a season. Last season saw the Bills come away with a 17-16 win at MetLife Stadium in Week 1 after trailing 16-0 in the third quarter. Back in 2017, the Bills earned their first win of the season in Orchard Park as head coach Sean McDermott grabbed his first victory in a 21-12 win.

The Bills will take to the road for the first time in Week 2 as they travel to South Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.

After returning home to face the Los Angeles Rams, the Bills will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to take on the relocated Raiders franchise at the new Allegiant Stadium.

For a third straight season, the Bills will take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 5 of the regular season. For a second consecutive season, the Bills will travel to Nashville to face the Titans at Nissan Stadium. Last season, the Bills came away with a big 14-7 win that helped Buffalo earn a tiebreaker advantage over the Titans at the end of the season. In 2018, the Bills hosted Tennessee at New Era Field and got a game-winning field goal from Stephen Hauschka as time expired to earn a 13-12 win.

Buffalo's first primetime game will take place on Thursday, Oct. 15 when the Bills host the Chiefs in Orchard Park. It will be the first time the Bills have played on Thursday Night Football since the 2017 season when Buffalo lost to the Jets at MetLife Stadium. The last time the Bills hosted a Thursday Night Football matchup at home was back in the 2016 season when they lost to the Jets, 37-31.

After wrapping up the season series with the Jets in Week 7, the Bills will return home to host the New England Patriots on Nov. 1. It will be the first time in 20 years where the Patriots will stroll in to Orchard Park without Tom Brady under center as the starting quarterback for the Patriots.

The Bills will have a later bye week this season, coming in Week 11 after a road matchup with the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium.

After a Week 13 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers at home, the Bills will play in the first of two Monday Night Football matchups against the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers at Levi Stadium.

The next week will see a primetime rematch against the Pittsburgh Steelers from last season where the Bills went to the Steel City and clinched a playoff berth with a 17-10 win in Week 15. This time, both teams will meet again in Orchard Park and featured again on Sunday Night Football.

In Week 15, the Bills will head to the Mile High City to take on the Denver Broncos, but it has yet to be determined whether they will play on Saturday, Dec. 19 or Sunday, Dec. 20. That date will be announced at a later date.

Buffalo's final primetime game will come on Dec. 28 as the Bills head to Foxboro, Massachusetts to take on the Patriots on Monday Night Football.

Finally, the Bills will wrap up the 2020 regular season with a home matchup against the Dolphins on Jan. 3 of the new 2021 calendar year.

The Bills also released its 2020 preseason schedule, but all of these dates are to be determined:

  • Week 1: at Baltimore Ravens
  • Week 2: vs. Atlanta Falcons
  • Week 3: vs. Indianapolis Colts
  • Week 4: at Detroit Lions
