McDermott updates injuries following Bills' preseason win over Colts

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott gave an update on injured players Friday before the team took the field for practice following their 24-16 preseason-opening win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Here’s the rundown:

  • Offensive tackle Conor McDermott is in concussion protocol.  
  • Center Bodine has an oblique strain and will sit out practice.  
  • Tight end Jason Croom will practice during the individual position work. He has been out since right after training camp began with a hamstring injury.
  • Safety Micah Hyde will be limited with his neck injury.
  • Cornerback Taron Johnson is limited while he deals with a groin issue. 
  • Defensive end Jerry Hughes will be limited with an ankle injury.
  • Center Mitch Morse is still in concussion protocol.
  • Tight end Dawson Knox is still out with a hamstring injury.
