From the Locker Room: Sabres- Red Wings

February 9, 2019

The Sabres used a big second period to down the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. Conor Sheary got the Sabres on the board first, before Casey Mittelstadt added a second goal to put Buffalo up by a pair. Shortly after Dylan Larkin converted a power play wraparound chance to cut the lead in half, Kyle Okposo scored the game's final goal with under a minute to go in the second period to mold the 3-1 scoreline.

Linus Ullmark was impressive in the win, tallying 28 saves on 29 shots that came his way. This marks a likely end to a string of starts for Ullmark, as Buffalo will be back in action tomorrow against the Jets.

Let's go inside the locker room to see what players and coaches had to say after the win:

Kyle Okposo:

Okposo: "I thought we did a good job in the defensive zone... definitely a better effort."
