Intentional Scouting: Josh Rosen

January 30, 2018

In the third installment of Intentional Scouting, I got the scoop on UCLA junior quarterback Josh Rosen. Inside the Pylon contributor Mark Schofield (@MarkSchofield) and the Founder and Director of Scouting at NDT Scouting Kyle Crabbs (@NDTScouting) joined me to discuss the potential number one pick in this April’s draft.

Rosen passed for over 9,000 yards in his three-year career at UCLA. He charged onto the college football scene his freshman year throwing for over 3,600 yards and 23 touchdowns.

After a disappointing sophomore season plagued with injury and mediocre play, Rosen had a terrific bounce-back season in 2017 throwing for more than 3,700 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Rosen will have to answer some questions about off-the-field concerns that the media, for the most part, has overplayed. Rosen has been outspoken in his time at UCLA about the role of student-athletes in school and has had his love for the game questioned.

Will Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott fall in love with the player on the field but take him off their board because of the guy he is off of it? Listen to Mark, Kyle and myself discuss:
