Injury updates on Benjamin, Glenn as Bills prepare for Patriots

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin appeared to take a small step towards returning to the lineup Wednesday when he was seen off to the side of practice working with trainers and running ladder exercises.

On Monday, the Bills confirmed to the media that Benjamin suffered a torn meniscus two Sundays ago against the Los Angeles Chargers. He did not play in the team’s game this past week at Kansas City.

No timetable has given for Benjamin's return, but Bills' head coach Sean McDermott still termed the wideout as “day-to-day.”

Benjamin is not the only player with no timetable attached to his return. McDermott said the same thing regarding offensive tackle Cordy Glenn, who has missed the team’s last three games with a foot/ankle injury.

Although Benjamin did work with trainers during the individual position portion of practice, he was still officially listed as a “did not practice” Wednesday by the team. Only the team portion of practice factors into the designation for the day. Stretching and individual do not matter when it comes to the listing.

Here is the full list of players who were all officially designated as “did not practice” on Wednesday, as the team prepares to face the AFC East leading New England Patriots:

  • WR - Kelvin Benjamin
  • OT - Cordy Glenn
  • RB - Mike Tolbert
  • TE - Nick O'Leary
  • DE - Eddie Yarbrough
  • OG - John Miller

Wide receiver Jordan Matthews and tight end Charles Clay were listed as “limited.”
