Hyde: Josh Allen is 'a kid just out there having fun'

September 16, 2019

The Buffalo Bills are 2-0 to start a season for the first time since 2014 after two victories at MetLife Stadium over the New York Jets and New York Giants.

Bills safety Micah Hyde and the rest of the Buffalo defense have played great, holding their opponents to just 30 points in those two games.

Hyde joined Schopp and the Bulldog for his regular Buffalo Football Monday appearance.

Here is some of what he had to say:

Hyde on playing in the same stadium two weeks in a row:

"[MetLife Stadium] felt like home. It's hard to get a win each in every week, it can be hard to get that from the outside. But we're pumped to get in front of our fans. I don't really have a pre-game routine, but walking into the same hotel room two weeks in a row, it was actually cool."

Hyde on he and Jordan Poyer delivering big hits against the Giants:

"If you keep your head out of it, you should be fine. They're coaching with technique now to not lead with your head. There times for myself where I hit somebody yes, & I make the sound. It's the wind leaving your stomach."

Hyde on Josh Allen's development:

"Stepping in since day one, Josh has just been himself. Once you see the competitive nature, he's 23-years-old, he's a kid just out there having fun. We love that."

Hyde on Sean McDermott's culture:

"We like to hang out with each other. Outside of football we laugh, we joke around, we have fun. Make sure our wives are hanging out. That's what Sean McDermott has brought to Buffalo."
