Eric Wood: "It felt good they were booing their team off the field"

November 27, 2017

The Buffalo Bills got a much needed victory over the falling Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Eric Wood hadn't been apart of a Chiefs win in Kansas City in over 6 years. Now the Bills are at 6-5 and still in the thick of the AFC playoff race.

To talk about the win, and playoff race, Bills center Eric Wood made his regular Buffalo Football Monday appearance with Schopp and the Bulldog. Here's the best from his time with the guys.

On what made the offense successful on Sunday:
"Had 2nd and 1s, 3rd and 1s, had so many effective drives. Play action was great. Success in the run game effects that, get the heavier box count."

On winning in a tough environment:
"It felt good when they're booing their own team off the field and they're not as loud. When they're rocking and rolling it's similar to the Rose Bowl or New Era Field, it's hard for teams to even call a play in the huddle."

On the emergence of Travaris Cadet:
"He's a good player. Caught my eye the day he got here. I said man that guy can really run, he's fast, can lower his shoulder. I've been extremely impressed with him."

On looking forward at the schedule:
"Can't look back now. Trending in a better direction. Good to respond from last week with a solid win on the road. Three home games in a row, huge one this week. Huge one this week, when the Patriots come to town the fans show up in a big way."

On Tyrod being announced as the starter:
"Tyrod was Navy Seal about it as he always is. Was quiet about it. That's the great thing about Tyrod, he's not going to throw a fit. He showed up and was what we needed. Played efficient ball when our defense was playing great."
