Eric Wood is a couple wins away from his 1st playoff appearance

December 18, 2017

Eric Wood, and the Buffalo Bills are 8-6 on the season following Sunday's win over the Miami Dolphins. On a lesser, but still satisfying note, the win knocked the Dolphins out of the playoff race. Wood has been apart of nearly half the playoff drought, since being drafted in 2009 by the Bills. Two wins, and he and the Bills are likely going to the post-season, one win and there's still a good shot.

Wood joined Mike Schopp on Buffalo Football Monday. Here's some of the best from his visit.

On the win over Miami:
"Good win, I'll remember us starting fast, when you get up on teams in Buffalo, teams don't want to be in that cold, we know it."

On the Bills 2nd meeting with New England:
"We played them tough in Buffalo, if we did anything on offense that day and we capitalize on that first drive and other drives we got in the red zone, I honestly feel we win that game."

On McCoy reaching 10k yards:
"Happy for him, he's an awesome teammate. Running backs start to decline at this time, but LeSean doesn't take many hits, so I feel he could go a while longer."

On being at 8-6, when expectations were low:
"There was talk of us tanking, we go out and play in the opener and it didn't feel like that from the 77,000 there."
