Cole Beasley misses practice, Jordan Phillips returns

September 12, 2019

The Buffalo Bills were back on the practice Thursday, and while one player returned to the field, another was absent and another went down with an injury.

Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, who missed Wednesday’s practice with an illness, was back. Cornerback Taron Johnson and wide receiver/returner Andre Roberts were still out. Roberts hasn’t practiced in over a week and missed last week’s game with a quad injury. Johnson injured his hamstring during Sunday's game against the New York Jets and did not return.

Wide receiver Cole Beasley didn't practice due to an illness.

During the open-media portion of practice, cornerback Levi Wallace went down during 1-on-1 drills and immediately grabbed his leg. He then got up to walk and hopped around a bit before trainers came over to tend to him.

Levi Wallace goes down during 1-on-1 drill at tail end of media portion of practice. You can see him limping around and then a trainer working on what appears to be his ankle. #Bills

Head coach Sean McDermott said after practice that Wallace suffered an ankle injury, but did return to the session.

Running back Frank Gore received a veteran rest day.
