A day after Sammy Watkins returned to practice he was back on the field again Thursday.  It's important to note because GM Doug Whaley told WGR Wednesday that the day after the wide receiver's first practice would be important as far as his health and progress going forward.
"The biggest thing is going to be after practice and the next day and how the foot responds," Whaley told The Howard Simon Show.
The Bills still have 20 days to activate their top wideout to the active roster or shut him down for the rest of the season. But the fact that he was back on the field one day after testing his surgically repaired foot is another sign that he may be returning to game action soon.  Watkins' status for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars is still to be determined.
Offensive tackle Cordy Glenn (back) and tight end Charles Clay (knee) were also in attendance for the Thanksgiving Day practice after missing Wednesday's session.
