Benjamin has a torn meniscus

November 27, 2017

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin has a torn meniscus.

The Bills confirmed the news Monday, shortly after Sean McDermott’s weekly meeting with the media.

No timetable was given for Benjamin's return, but the Bills' head coach still termed the wideout as “day-to-day” when asked about his recovery from a knee injured suffered eight days ago against the Los Angeles Chargers.

“He’s working hard,” McDermott told reporters the day after his team’s 16-10 win over the Chiefs in Kansas City. “He’s going to be day-to-day as we move forward this week and we’ll see how the week unfolds.”

After not practicing at all last week, Benjamin was listed as “questionable” on the final injury report on Friday. However, on Saturday, the team announced he would not make the trip to Kansas City and would remain back in Buffalo.

The fourth-year wide receiver was acquired at the trade deadline from the Carolina Panthers.
